Bypassing the courts #2

An article in The Observer yesterday, highlighting the blockage in the family courts discussed here before, and  mentioning the new Institute of  Family Law Arbitrators and its scheme as a way of avoiding the courts.

As has been commented here before, IFLA is undoubtedly a great idea - but as a service which has to be paid for privately it is likely to be out of financial reach for many. It is worth considering other cheaper forms of dispute resolution - mediation, early neutral legal advice or asking a solicitor if they offer a fixed fee service.

It has never been a good idea to end up in court over your divorce and finances - and even less so at the moment.....
