Welcome to Intelligent Divorce

This is the companion blog to Intelligent Divorce, the new way to get legal advice when you divorce. Our blog provides news on divorce, money and family breakdown to help those currently splitting up.

About Intelligent Divorce

We are dedicated to helping you reduce the legal costs of sorting out your finances on divorce.

Our unique, online, co-operative process gets you specialist legal opinion on how to divide your home, savings, pensions, shares and other assets - and all without the costs of using traditional solicitors.

What makes us different?
  • You get a balanced legal opinion from an experienced family barrister. Armed with that advice you and your partner can agree a sensible split, along the lines a judge would decide, without the anguish and costs of going to court.
  • Your agreement is backed by a thorough check of what you both own which means that the barrister can provide well-informed legal opinion.
  • The whole process can be managed online so you can come to an agreement even if you do not want to speak to your partner
  • You manage the process. Instead of fretting about what your solicitor is doing you can get on with doing it yourself.
The costs for two of you (the co-operative route), including the barrister's opinion, consent order and management of your divorce paperwork - is only £1630 inc VAT.

If you use Intelligent Divorce on your own (the solo route) the cost is only £780 inc VAT.
